Chauma LT - Birds' game
The Alternative Longboards Chauma LT is a compact, high-performance freestyle and freeride deck created for riders who want one board to handle tricks, slides, transitions, and fast all-around riding. The new LT version features a lighter wooden core, giving the board a more agile, nimble, and responsive feel than the previous model, with a stronger emphasis on freestyle progression. With its symmetrical shape, rocker profile, high kicktails, and top-mount construction, the Chauma LT delivers direct control, strong pop, and confident edge-to-edge response for technical riding. Construction
As an ever-evolving freestyle platform, the Chauma LT combines a new lightweight wooden core with hardwood laminates, fiberglass, and a carbon fiber layer to create a deck that feels both durable and lively underfoot. This construction is designed to provide vibration dampening and the right level of stiffness for stable yet energetic riding across many types of terrain and skill levels. Compared with the previous version, the updated LT core gives the board a lighter, more responsive character, making the Chauma feel quicker in transitions, easier to move in technical riding, and more naturally suited to freestyle-oriented sessions.
The board also features a thick bottom base extending along the deck length with a slightly tapered front and rear outline, helping create wider and deeper wheel wells for better compatibility with a variety of trucks and wheels. For long-term durability, the construction is reinforced with ABS sidewalls around the wheel wells and kicktail area, plus additional ABS impact protection on both tips to better withstand repeated freestyle abuse. Combined with the top-mount truck system, the Chauma LT offers stable riding while preserving maneuverability and direct board feel.
Shape and Profile
The Chauma LT was built around a symmetrical shape, so you can ride and land tricks confidently whether you skate regular or goofy. With a 96 cm length and 24 cm width, it provides a compact yet comfortable platform that feels planted without becoming bulky. The 51.4–54.4 cm wheelbase range lets riders tune the setup toward faster response or a slightly more stable feel, depending on their preferred style.
Its shape is supported by a stiff flex, high kicktails, gentle concave, and a subtle rocker profile. Together, these features help the board feel locked in, stable, and ready for technical riding. The kicktails add useful pop and control for freestyle tricks, while the rocker makes it easier to move quickly from heel edge to toe edge and link slides or trick combinations more fluidly. The result is a deck that feels compact, controlled, and highly reactive under pressure.
Riding Style
The Chauma LT is designed as a true quiver killer for riders who want one board to cover a wide range of aggressive riding styles. It excels most in freestyle and freeride, but it is also capable enough for downhill sessions, urban cruising, and even local skatepark riding. Thanks to its updated lighter core and quick-reacting geometry, the LT version shifts the Chauma further toward riders who value nimbleness, trick readiness, and responsive handling over a more planted, heavier feel.
Whether you are learning your first technical tricks or refining an advanced line of slides, spins, and transitions, the Chauma LT offers the combination of control, durability, and versatility needed to keep progressing. It is a board for riders who want to skate everything and want their deck to keep up with that mindset.
